Following the Questions That Keep Me Awake
âWhy do people make different decisions even when seeing the same facts?â
That question found me early âliving in Cambridge/Boston, Seoul, and Nanjingâ observing people without speaking their language. Since then, Iâve been drawn to how people think, how machines process, and what happens when the two intersect.
As I moved between Korea, China, and the U.S., I began noticing how culture, language, and logic shape decisions. This led me to research in AI(intelligence) and cognition, especially where algorithms interact with human behavior. One project analyzed Korean medical lawsuits to find legal âhub casesâ using AI, and moreover realized that accuracy alone isnât enough. Other project, such as âLinguistic Inputs, Visual Outputs: Human Intuition and AI Semantic Reasoning in Shape Imaginationâ clearly shows this intereset of mine. What matters is understanding people.
Through missteps, such as imbalanced data, failed models, doubts before conferences, I learned to stay with questions even when answers are unclear. And thatâs what drives me: using technology not just to solve problems, but to understand how humans reason, decide, and relate.
I believe the future of AI isnât just about intelligence. Itâs about intuition, empathy, and ethics. Thatâs the space I want to be in. This website is my way of sharing that journey.
Welcome again!
